Can anyone tell me if I can get the shaft out of my '87 F30 without dropping the rudder? I am scheduled to replace the drip-less shaft fitting and cutlass bearing and would love to know how much work I am in for! Thanks for your help. Jeff Chale Vashon, WA

There are tools to press in/out the cutless bearing without removing
the shaft http://www.strutpro.com/page12.html. The ability to slide
the shaft past the rudder on the Mull boats seems to vary by
individual boat. Some can, some can’t.
