I’m curious about mast choices for our F21’s. A new composite mast is
about $7,000 usd ex factory - I checked. So how much is a new
aluminium mast, please? Any history of breakages (or are there very
few breakages)? Will Proctor still make them (custom order)?
PS - I liked your canvas dodger/enclosure - got any more pix - how
much was it - are you OK with that design, or would you improve it?
PPS - I’m 65.5 years and just found a s/h rowing machine by Concept2.
My fitness level (and winter frustration) are improving a wee bit.

Hi Guys,
Yes Chris the UK aluminium F21 mast is rather heavy at around 98lb.
Details of the UK PROCTOR supplied aluminium mast are given in my
write-up that Max Lent kindly posted on our website that contains all
the F21 midifications. By the way Chris as a relatively fit 66 year
old I can also carry ny aluminium mast (but not too far).

My kevlar/carbon mast weighs about 60 pounds - I can carry it myself.
The UK style aluminium mast is heavier according to Wilf Bishop.
(I’m looking in my F21 files, but haven’t found the exact weights
