F25 spinnaker needed

Our F25’s spinnaker is badly torn around the reinforcement patch for the retrieval line. Tried taping it, but the stress of dousing the spinny is more than the tape can handle. Does anybody have an F25 spinnaker they could sell me?

I have what I believe is the original one that came with the boat in 1984. Last time I checked it, it did not have any tears, and was still working OK last time I used it, which was probably about 2008 or so. I would let you have it for $100 plus shipping.

Oh, that’s super awesome! Please ship it to:
Russell Nelson
323 W Clinton St.
Elmira, NY 14901
and tell me how I might be able to pay you. Paypal? Google Pay? Venmo? A check?

I found a box just big enough at 26x21x17 in. Total weight is about 8 lbs. According to ChatGPT, cheapest way to ship is USPS ground advantage at a whopping $82.19. Given this will be almost $200, are you sure you don’t want to try and have the retreival patch on your current spinnaker sewed at a local loft? If you want to proceed, you can Venmo $100 to @rcarpente (last four phone digits is 4875 for confirmation), and I will message you with the actual shipping cost once I drop it off at USPS later this week.

It’s a sailboat. Nothing is cheap.

Mailed it this morning. Check your Venmo messages for details.

Great to see it working for you!

I watched FreedomSailing’s recent video, and they have the retrieval line coming from the back of the spinnaker, as Garry recommended. I think that’s the right idea as well, because the line will keep the sail from falling into the water as it gets lowered by the halyard. I’ve got it coming from the front now, and the sail falls down as the pull point gets close to the mouth of the sock.

I have red a green patches on my spinnaker tacks, if you align those port and starboard the retrieval line comes out forward, so I have never tried any other way. It works for me. PO had this made but the original is the same.
