F30 Freshwater Pump Replacement

I did the job today, but rather than do the under-the-sink relocation, I ended up just dropping the new pump in where the original had been because for the life of me, I couldn’t get the supply line (from the pump) out from under the settee/bilge/engine pan. I had hoped to replace that line as part of a hose replacement plan.

The supply line from the pump is nearly impossible to access because its jammed in and under a zip-tied bundle of battery cables, the water line, and some electrical conduit. I tried to access it from inside the settee frame, but that was too tight to budge anything. It is also zip tied in some places under the sole. There is no excess give and no clear way to access the bundle to get the hose loose.

I could see how I could splice the tank supply and the old pump-out line to make a new supply line to the pump under the sink, and then disconnect the manifold in the bilge where the head and galley line hook to the line from the pump, but that would create another line to jam under the engine pan and that seems really tight as it is.

I may attempt it later, but it’s going to wait until I’m ready to replace all the water hoses to make an easier job of it. Still, if anyone has any ideas about a good way to get at the supply line from the tank that feeds the main trunk running atop the bilge, I’d love to hear it! I suspect the answer is to disassemble the settee.

The good news is that everything works and I have no leaks, I just didn’t get to do the re-lo.

Ditto the above today. Amazon - Shurflo rv pump - 45 psi - plugged into the existing quest. Not super fancy stainless steel but for the price I have to issues replacing every 5 years.

Today finished install of accumulator tank in fresh water system- all works fine with no leaks. Went for a sail - began in 8 kts aws and ended over 20 kts aws - am beat up and need advil, but will settle for wine
