F30 Shower Sump & Prop

Posted by Bob (rweeks6508@…>)

Two questions:

  1. Is there a shower sump under/in the F30 head?
  2. What is the standard/approximate prop size for a F30 with 2GM20F 18 HP disel
and 2.62 transmission? two blade, three blade…

In
my F30, the shower drains through a grate in the head floor, thence into a
plastic sump mounted in the bilge, and then, via a separate bilge pump, overboard.

No
clue about the prop.

I think the stock prop was a 14 X 14 2 blade with fairly narrow blades. If I’m wrong I’ll send a correction tomorrow. We replaced with a wonderful (but not perfect) KIWI feathering unit. Re: Shower sump. The next owner of our boat cleverly lowered the sump for the shower further down in the bilge…thereby improving the drainage from the head floor AND getting a backup bilge pump in the bargain.Fargoex NARISA owner F30#12Al Lorman <ajl@…> wrote: In my F30, the shower drains through a grate in the head floor, thence into a plastic sump mounted in the bilge, and then, via a separate bilge pump, overboard.
