I added one to Chloe, my freedom 36, now 38. I am very happy with it It makes
boarding much easier. Swimming isa breeze. It also give the boat a much nicer
look. On the 36, it is worth the $$$ as I think I will recover most, if not all
of it when the time comes for my heirs to sell the boat. I am not sure you can
say the same for the 30 conversion. Life is short though, so eat dessert first.

We bought a 36/now 38 that had the platform already added. Quite honestly, I would not have purchased the boat if it had not been added. We love it. In talking with the broker, it is my understanding the previous owner added the extension himself. It is bolted through the transom and it appears they used 5200 to cement it in place. The caulk line does not detract from the overall appearance of the boat and I don’t know how I would hang the dinghy motor and other chores without it. It is great. I do not have any idea about cost. But I suspect someone at Freedom could fill you in. I am sure they must have the mold and make them.
Good Luck!

Manrique,
Yes, I do have a picture. It is not a close up but you can clearly see the extension.
Let me know if you have trouble opening it and I will send it via email.

I just boat a F36 and I would to add a swim platform as well. I was
wondering if how much it would cost. Also, how does it look. Does it
conform with the boat’s natural contours?
Thanks,
-Nhat
