I’ve dedided to replace all six ports on my Hoyt F-32. Can anyone
tell me what material was used for the original ports? Also… I
suspect that I’m not the only owner driven nuts by having to
continually attend to leaks that crop up from time to time. Has
anyone come up with a better method of bedding these ports?

Replaced mine other year with polyacrylate. Supposed to be about bullet-proof, but must make stencil to make black painted rim (1" wide) around window edge.

We have a problem with one of our ports. It looks like someone torqued the screws down too far and cracked the fiberglass. Considering the thickness of the glass on the coach top, that must have required a LOT of force. We’re going to re-bed it with 3M 5200 after I fix the fiberglass. We were going to replace all of the ports since they had hazed over to the point of opacity but, last weekend, we tried brasso on one and the results were amazing. Take a look at the mail message from: kfnevins [Knevins@…] subject:Brasso. It really works!
