Hi Capn,
if you look in the Photos section under “Bright Star,” there are some
pictures that show how my dodger was attached. The pictures aren’t too
good - I don’t know why I didn’t take more after the work was done.
Basically, there were snaps along the front edge of the companionway
seahood, and turnbuckles everywhere else except for the back corners of
the sides which were also snaps. I had my canvas completely redone, and
ended up with a dodger that was split down the middle and had removable
side panels. I also had a full enclosure made for the bimini with a
clear connector panel between the bimini and trailing edge of the
dodger. I had two sets of sides for the bimini - one that was clear and
the other that was mesh (for Maine noseeums mostly), and except for
some difficulty figuring out how to get ‘in’ to the enclosure, it
worked out pretty well.

If Alex has time, maybe he can take pictures of Nani’s Dodger and
bimini setup.

I think you mean Turnbuttons, not turnbuckles. I had a bunch of
turnbuttons on my F-25’s dodger. Herm

I had all the holes in the deck and breakwater closed and sprayed
over. Nowadays, you can have a dodger with a boltrope in the foot and
attached to the deck via an aluminum profile that takes the boltrope.
Very neat.
