My wife and I have decided it’s time to sell our much loved Freedom
21. It’s a 1984 fin keel model. We are the second owners. The boat
was dry sailed in fresh water when we got her and the interior was in
virtually unused condition. It’s still in remarkable shape. We
sailed her summers on a lake in northern New Mexico, but since the
water levels went down the boat has sat on its trailer unused for the
past 4 years.
It’s got a custom trailer which tows nicely, a 5hp longshaft Mariner
outboard, mainsail in excellent shape and the gun mount spinnaker
system of course. Since it’s been sitting, I’d recommend a careful
inspection or replacement of the trailer tires and greasing the wheel
bearings. The boat needs a good scrubbing, waxing of the topsides and
a fresh coat of bottom paint before launch.
The boat is located here in Santa Fe New Mexico. I will email
pictures to anyone who asks, as soon as I take some, that is! I’m
hoping that a price of $4800 will seem attractive enough for someone
to travel here and haul it back to your home for a new round of
wonderful sailing adventures in the finest small boat ever.
