Hello, after 25 years of Freedom 25 ownership, and now owning a Freedom 30, I’m a recent member and this is my first post.
Sadly, the post is regarding the 1984 Freedom 25 that sustained keel damage from a bottom hit. This is a shock, as I learned yesterday of the $10k repair quote. I’m told the keel would need to be pulled so unless there is someone who wants a repair project, this special boat that has treated us so well will be heading to a salvage yard.
The available items for sale include everything on a typical Freedom 25 including the black carbon fiber mast (non-rotating), rudder, original cushions, gun mount and original spinnaker, newer staysail, original mainsail, main cover, dodger (with ripped canvas), head, newer head bladder, solar panels and charge controller, 2 year old Panther motor mount and and a 2 year old 9.9 HP ultra long shaft Tohatsu outboard.
