Sorry no photo, but on my 1987 UK 35 CK, it’s on a wooden plinth, roughly at the same height as the bunk boards. There’s an alloy ring bolted onto the plinth, similar to the one at deck level. The mast sits on the wood and the space between the ring and the mast is filled with Plastic Padding, or similar (this MUST be mixed in small batches). There is one bolt through the ring and the mast. It is best to put a thin layer of polystyrene at the bottom of the gap so that when later cutting out the PP prior to lifting out the mast, you’re drilling into a void and not the wood. When lifting, leave some of the thinnest bits of PP to get the mast back in exactly the same position. Measure carefully as well. There is a hole in the middle of the wood, through which the wires are fed.
Great, thanks, that makes sence with what im looking at. Just good to comfirm with someone before pressing on ![]()
