Does anyone have the specs for a replacement propeller, e.g. diameter and pitch?
What are most popular upgrades from original 2-blade fixed?
TIA,

I switched from a 2 blade prop to a three blade Kiwi prop with a diam of 16.5 inches and a 22 deg pitch. It looks small but does a great job in forward and reverse. Kiwi will size it for you if you give them the boat details.
I have a Maxprop three blade feathering prop. It is fantastic in both forward and reverse. The boat was repowered with a 40 hp yanmar so I had to increase the hub size from 64mm to 70mm. PYI inc took my old prop, changed out the hub and refurbished the entire prop and did an excellent job at a good price. The prop looked like new when I received it. The only down side is that they are VERY expensive. If you are interested ask PYI inc for size and pitch (BTW they are variable pitch props).

If anyone is interested in a discounted Maxprop, PYI sells refurbished ones that are “good as new,” all shined up like the above picture. They have a bunch of parts from used props at their shop and can cobble one together for you, depending on the size you need. The one I bought started life as a 16" diameter, but they welded on some more material and machined it to get to the 17" that I needed. It cost me $1,900 plus shipping, including $100 for the welding/machining.
It is the “classic” model that has been discontinued, so fitting it required cutting off the tip of the shaft, and the pitch settings can’t be modified without disassembly, but once it’s on those things don’t matter.
