Erik,
Just looked a map - CA is a rather large state-too far from San Diego.
However- My wife will be in Napa Valley next week- I will try to con her to look for me.
Thanks

Steve: Boat is suppose to be here today and be unloaded. Obviously very excited!!! ![]()
San Diego is a bit away. But Napa is not and the wife welcome to stop by. Also, send me a list of what you need photo or measurement wise. BTW, Tom Wylie is great, full of good ideas, and will chat your ear off. I’ve been sailing one of this designs - a Wylie Wabbit - for 12 years now and it is absolutely great. And I’ve spent many ocean and inland miles racing and cruising the Wylie Cat 30 and think the world of it.
I definitely understand your concern about the cost of track and harware. At present my boat is rigged with a single ply sail that is actually ied on to the mast going in a coss patter along the luff - no track. The original owner sailed with this for 25 years and the PO of the last 7 years thought it worked well. One still cant use full lenght battens, so the roach is limited, but the luff of the sail will be pushed to the leeward side of the mast, giving you a smoother transition. This would be similar to the double ply wrap around and better than with a mast track. Note thoug that I’ve not used any of this yet and don’t have the double ply to compare. No idea if hoisting, dousing, or reefing is any easier.
