Does any group member know anything about this aft cockpit version of
the above name which has turned up in the UK and is for sale? She
seems in good condition apart from some areas of the deck which are
more crazed and more deeply crazed than others. Well equipped too.
Built in 79, not launched until 83, sailed over to the UK a couple of
years ago. Two chunky alloy masts. Professionally built but
unconventional layout. Working aft there’s the usual forecabin, then
to port a very large nav. desk opposite which is a 6 ft. settee berth
that extends to a double, then a loo/shower port side, then the galley
to starboard and dinette that converts to double to port. Cockpit
lockers are just that - storage space. She’s green now but used to be
blue judging by windows in the paint job.
Any info. gratefully received, thanks, especially from previous owners.

Brian,
In the early days of the F-40, Freedom sold a “sailaway kit” which
consists of the boat, with spars, rigging and propulsion, and little
else. This might explain the '79 production/commissioning date, and
relaunch in '83 with the unique interior. Herm

I learn something new every time I come here! This could explain the “not found in any literature” interior of Marquesa. I always thought that being the first year of production they were simply experimenting. For what ever reason it’s the interior of the salon that sold Kerri. Hi Brian
No info on the boat in question.
Just a word of advice. Check those areas with crazing wery carefully
with a moisture meter. They could be caused by expansion of frozen
water/soggy balsa underneath.

Hey Dan,Sounds like you are one of my neighbors. From your posts it sounds like you might be preparing to shove off somewhere with your family? I’d like to see your head installation before you leave if you are giving tours.
