Hoyt the other day and he doesn’t know so maybe someone has some insight?
Thanks for your help in advance!

Hi,
I remember that a few years ago F40 #1 was located in Florida and bore
the name Modesty. The couple owning her used to have a website
informing us about their sailing adventures, but I can’t find any
references to the site anymore. I have a photo of Modesty somewhere.

Thank you Michel! I wonder where she is. I thought someone on a design group
was saying they were in the process of buying her about a year ago but can’t
find that guy. Oh well. Is there a Freedom Guru who keeps track of these
things?

Hello folks,
I live in Naples and called the City Dock just minutes ago to determine if Modesty was still moored there. Afraid not and there’s no records available that might lend some added info.

Thank you Bill! That seems to be a special
boat and an important first design historically. I hope the people who own her
now are taking good care. Would love to find out. Thanks for checking!
