Maybe a location with links to videos about Freedoms might be useful. I found this advertisement Freedom video. You can maybe see your boat being built in Rhode Island.

Thanks for sharing. That was great. Will hang onto this to keep me inspired on those long winter nights.

Nice Jim!
Just saw this thread and thought I should post a link to a video here that I had included in another thread. That way we can keep all the video links together. For those that saw the “F21 first sail” thread, it’s the same one.
I see from your video that your F21 has a couple of features that I believe are not standard: 1) self-tacking “blade” jib, and 2) mainsheet led forward along the boom. Are these common on F21’s where you are located? I would be interested in seeing some details, as these are features I’ve often thought about implementing on my F25. Might be best to start a separate thread, instead of replying here.
Hi,
I posted some pics of my blade jib in another thread:
https://www.freedomyachts.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=13185&p=52979&hilit=blade+jib#p52979
Also had a discussion on the mainsheet in the original thread that contained this video. Basically the spray cover makes it difficult to access the main sheet as standard. My solution was to keep the standard fiddle block on the traveller, route the main sheet forward to a block connected to kicker loop on the boom then down to a block mid cabin roof and through the cutout in the spray hood to a jammer. This is not right to the mast but when I tried this (without the deck block), I found the sheet tension did not change too much on tacking.
My boat is back home in the drive right now with the mast down but these two pics will give you some idea of the routing.
I did want to take the sheet further forward to the lazy jack loop but when the boom is wide to starboard, the kicker and sheet will interfere with each other. I may try that and see how much of a problem it is but I suspect as shown above will be best.
Another video of my F21 in Milford Haven last week.
Enjoyed another day on the F21 yesterday and took some more video. The day started wet and grey but turned out nice by the end. F4-5 and full sail including the blade jib. Not sure if people want more links to these videos. I put them up for family and friends but am happy to continue to post here if there is interest. Milford Haven - a day of contrasts:
Friend of mine made some nice drone footage of our Freedom 38, sailing at the Oosterschelde in The Netherlands this summer. Incredibly nice to see your own ship sail!
Nice video, it’s always nice to see your boat from a drone’s perspective. I own a Magic Air but to date have not had the courage to launch and retrieve it from my F21.
Thanks! Yes, the cameraman launched it from the boat later that day when we were at anchor, but retrieving it was a bit tricky, even when laying motionless at anchor …
And yes, seeing your own ship sailing, from all angles, is purely magical.
My brothers freedom forty is incomplete. Check out this modification!
Anybody seen this Freedom 28 cat ketch project yet?
yes I saw it a while back when I was thinking of getting a freedom 30 project (UK version of 28). This one was in better shape.
Posted a few videos on youtube of our Freedom 21:

Thanks Tom, I enjoy watching other people videos, especially Freedom boats. You look to be enjoying being on the water.
Here is another of our day yesterday, also 1 reef in but a bit of a nasty swell (at lest for our little F21).
Fun stuff that
