Dear fellow/sister Freedom Yacht Owners:
I am in favor of having a Freedom Yacht Owners “Association”, which
would be a separate entity from the email “groups”.
To me, an “Association” is a legal entity, with a structure
of “leaders” (officers, directors, committees, and the like);
and “members” (Freedom Yacht Owners, accepted into the Association,
with a right to vote, dues paying, etc.).
It seems that Al Lorman, Alan Kusinitz, and Lance Riley are the
motivators working towards formation of the “Association”, since the
Members section of this “website” shows: Lance Riley as “Owner” and
Al Lorman as “Moderator” of this “website”; additionally, one of the
posted “files” on this website is from Alan Kusinitz, who gives a
nice summary of events to date in the forming of an Association, and
who states that he and Al Lorman are working towards formation of
the Association.
It is my understanding that the proposed “Association” would be a
separate entity from the “website groups”.
I appreciate Alan, Al and Lance’s work towards formation of the
Association, and hope they will continue forward, towards
achievement of that goal.

Thanks Charlie. Al Lorman is moving forward with registering the association as a not for profit. Several folks have agreed to serve as the directors. I’m doing some work to make sure the old Freedom board technical archives are permanently available. Right now they’re available through the good graces of Paul de Reus who has removed the spam and keeps it running on his laptop for others to access.
Once the association is registered we’ll move forward with further organization and efforts to make this worthwhile. A lot of folks have volunteered and provided great ideas.
Alan

Thanks all. I’ve been away. Back now. I was not
successful in
getting a copy of the organizational heirarchy of
topics in
the Cal-list old data files. Did try. Sorry. Let us
know when
or what you’d like from us next. Kind regards, Jacqui
