Good morning I have a question I have a freedom 36 I am at the process of registering my boat but they’re asking me for a CE tag I have been able to find one at my boat does anybody know where the location of that tag is
Depends on the year it was built, but if that date was before the introduction of CE marking for boats, it may be exempt. This applies in the UK, I believe, and probably most EU countries.
If you are looking for classification for coastal/offshore use, then all the larger Freedoms will be ocean going, which can be demonstrated by past performance of identical vessels.
The Hull Identification Number on boats built in the UK is usually found moulded into the transom, high up on the port side; this gives the year the hull was moulded, the type and the number in that series.
My F35 cat ketch has no CE mark, but the HIN is recorded on the certificate of registry; do you have a copy of that for yours?

Hi,
Can you share more background?
Are you registering the boat in the US, UK, EU ?
Is it a US built Tillotson-Pearson Freedom 36 ?

Is it an export/import ?
Was it built before CE was implemented?
