Head Sink Plumbing for F36

Posted by macks011 (macks04@…>)

I am replacing the head sink in my F36. The bowl is a Bristol # 250
NSF-24. The current replacement is a LaSalle-Bristol #161-56PP,
available from many RV stores.

My question is about the sink drain. My setup was fitted with a
push/pull blade/gate valve. They are avaialble at the RV stores as
well, but it seems like a lot of hardware for just a sink stopper.

Was this original equipment? And does it serve another purpose, such
as preventing flooding through the sink on a severe heel?

Get a plug stopper. Simple, and fixable.

Freedom installed the push/pull blade/gate valve. I’d reinstall.

PS: Do you know anywhere online where I can see the LaSalle-Bristol bowls referenced. I have wanted to replace my.

Thanks

I’m getting confirmation from Lasalle Bristol that the old and new
units are the same. In the meantime go to
http://www.dyersonline.com/ and look at fresh water plumbing, sinks

I have it on mine and always assumed that it was to prevent inflow on a way big
heel–must say have never had such a problem.
