Can anyone tell me where I can find an owner’s manual for the Freedom
28 sloop? I think I once found an archive from where it could be
downloaded but cannot find it now.

If you can get your hands on a Mull 30 manual, that boat’s rigging
and hardware is near-identical. I have a copy of what was issued as a
manual, and if pressed would copy it for you.
In addition, you want to enroll in the FreedomOwners list (also on Yahoo).
