Has anyone ever heard of a Hoyt Gun Mount Spinnaker system generally
available for other boats? I was sailing yesterday on my friend’s
Freedom 21 and we used the spinnaker (my first time), and I loved
it. I’d like to get one for my boat, a 1976 26’ Reinell daycruiser.
Any idea where I could start looking? Web searches so far have only
pointed me to Freedom related sites. Is the spinnaker system
available seperately?

While not impossible, this won`t be simple. The bow pulpit must be
reinforced to carry the load, there’s a fair amount of rigging, etc.
It’s all do-able but it won’t be simple. I’ve also heard a quote from
Gary Hoyt (the inventor of this system) saying it works on any boat
but works better on cat boats with the mast farther forward.
He’s the guy to ask, though: I just Googled “Garry Hoyt” and came up
with
