where is the valve located on a freedom 35 that keeps cold air from
escaping below?

On my 1995 F35 it is under the floor board
in front of the sink. Just a valve on the end of a hose that will drain into
the bilge.

Just take the hose and make a short “j” loop to trap a teaspoon or so of
cold water in the drain. You will lose no cold air and don’t have to
worry about a valve. John J
