I have an F32 that is currently on the dry in Preveza, Greece. This fantastic boat has been my full time home since May 2025, having completed an Atlantic crossing and an extended trip across the Med.
Inevitably I’ve had to move back to NZ to get back to work but I’m planning on keeping the boat in Greece long-term.
I am posting to see if anyone would be interested in a boat share/co-ownership setup with me. I haven’t gone into doing any formal paperwork at this stage, just gauging people’s interest. The boat is in very good running order and is very cheap to maintain.
I have a survey from November 2025 available if anyone would like to see it and I’m otherwise happy to answer any questions about Yolo or myself.
I’d be interested in hearing how you prepared for your crossing and how it went. Did you use Hank on storm jib? Deep reefs in the main? Good on you for making that crossing.
The 3 most important changes I made to the boat are the following:
Deep third reef - as in, VERY deep. In anything above 28-30 knots the main would be triple reefed and the jib would come down. No storm jib at all, the boat remains fairly well balanced here with the main alone (I think probably since the mast is so far forward) and if you try to point high into the wind you end up with something very similar to a heave to which worked well in a couple of rough nights we had.
- Windvane - installed a hydrovane which steered flawlessly for basically the entire trip. Doesn’t get tired, hungry or seasick and works better with more wind. I hand steered for maybe 12 hours overall across the 25 days at sea. The little wheelpilot came on for light winds or sailing under power.
- Starlink - for safety, weather routing and to keep my girlfriend and my parents happy with daily calls. I also shamelessly watched a bit of netflix
