I have just arrived in Baltimore from St. Augustine with my
Freedom32. I made the trip alone-first for me. Anyway, my jib and
boom have had it. Does anyone have a used jib and boom they would be
willing to part with. In decent condition.

I have a used jib for a Freedom 30. Don’t know whether it would work on a 32.

Hi Al,
I was hoping someone would know it it would be compatable with my 32. No responses so how about we measure our sails to find out. I would be very interested if it would work. Thank you for responding.

Sward,
The website www.baconsails.com has a section with the jib
measurements and used sails that might fit. Assuming you have
the older Hoyt F32 and not the newer Mull extended F30 into a 32.
The numbers are:
F30 I:28.5 J:9.83
F32 I:33.4 J:8.08
Not a perfect fit, looks like the F30 jib on tbe F32 wouldn’t
be self-tacking, but it would work as a regular jib. I have
a F32 jib in poor condition with no camberspar somewhere
in the garage that I don’t need.

These are the dimensions I got from Haarstick Sailmakers;
Freedom 32 (Hoyt) Jib: Luff = 31.36, Leech = 28.4, CS length = 7.5’
Freedom 30 Jib: Luff = 27.4, Leech = 24.12, CS length = 7.9
They’re slightly different than the numbers from Bacon Sails, but it is clear that the two sails are not identical.

Al,
Thank you so much for all your help and work. I don’t need another jib in disrepair, and it doesn’t look like the others will work.
I appreciate it.
