joining European stove to American propane line

Posted by willie doyle (williedoylemom@…>)
Our (new to us) Freedom 35 was outfitted in Europe with a propane stove with European, metric fittings. When we bought her this winter the surveyor did not like the multiple junctions that had been created between the tanks and the stove and recommended that we replace them with one solid line. Fine, we thought. But now our yard manager says that he has taken out the old line, put in a new one but cannot find a part that will join the American line to the European stove. Does anyone have a source for such a thing? We know nothing about the mechanics of this so would appreciate any advice and sources/URLs, etc. Thank you. The boat is in R.I.

Here in Europe there are dozens of parts to join EU to US and vice
versa parts. As far as I know UPT (US pipe thread) is almost the
same as European inch-sized pipe thread. Funnily enough, for steam
and gas pipes we still use inch sizes in Europe; all the rest is
metric.

BTW, I am in the process of doing the opposite from what you do,
joining EU tanks to a US stove.
