I went out sailing with Graceful Rose this afternoon for the last time
of this season–my first season. My marina requires boats be off the
river by October 15, so Gracey’s coming out on Monday. The wind was
about 10 knots out of the Northeast, and although I wasn’t doing the
7.8 knots I managed last weekend, a good 5.5 was the average before
things calmed down a lot. What a blast this season has been. I sure
have learned a few things. I wish I lived in Florida or California
(except for the giant bugs and hurricanes and earthquakes) so I could
sail year round. I’m going to try and put up a few photos of my boat
and our various ports of call. Thanks to everyone who has helped me
commission, wire and who knows what else this year. Talk to you soon.
