mack boring re 3GM30/prop

Posted by jackcarles (johncarles@…>)

the tech guy at mack says that the 3gm30 with the right prop will run
at 3600 rpm–which should be done for only 10 minutes/hour–and will
be at optimum running @3400rpm and should cruise at 2800-3000 rpm. the
right prop depends on trans model and gear ratio–and a good prop shop
he says

Hope this info is useful.

Thanks for the info Jack. I need to put all this great response together
with some data from the tranny motor and prop this fall and see what
gives for next year.

Thank you,

Larry Kraus
