Mast bedding or paint chipping?

On a Freedom 28, CF mast, along the mast track towards the top of the mast there is something happening on either side of the sail track. Can’t tell if its sloppy bedding or if the paint is chipping. If this is in fact chipping paint, is it a problem? This was pointed out by a potential buyer. I have owned the boat 8 years and never actually noticed if it was always there or not. Is this a problem, and if so what is the fix?

Hi Rich, my F28 mast looked the same way before I repainted it.

Mine has some discoloration but I don’t really see any paint chipping. I doubt yours is anything serious structurally, but more likely just expansion/contraction differences along the boundary of the track.
