Hello All,
As a new Freedom 21 Owner, I had the marina step the mast for me. I
received a call saying that I was missing the mast pin. As I was
inspecting the mast, it appears to have two small holes, but not across
from each other as I would expect. The holes look more like they would
be for a small screw. I would expect the mast pin to be to be of some
substantial size, but the holes look really small and do not line up.
Can anyone tell me the size of the mast pin and where I might be able
to find a replacement?
Thank You,
Brian

Brian, does your mast steps at the deck level ( shoal draft hull, tabernacle in the mast) ?
If yes, mast pin fits on the port side of the mast, it does not go all the way through to come out on the other side of the mast. Basically a small clevis pin(I think that’s the word) with a key chain type of ring at the end that goes through the side of the mast and tabernacle. Its about an inch long and perhaps 1/4’’ in diameter. It has no structural stress on it ( unless you go belly up) and acts more as a safety, also preventing mast 's rotation around the tabernacle. Once inserted in the hole (line up the hole on the mast with the hole in the tabernacle) only the ring will stick out. Secure the pin with an electrical tape through the ring around the mast so pin does not come out. Hope this helps.

Thanks Dmitry,
Looks like I can find a replacement in any hardware store.
I appreciate the help.
