I have recently purchase a Freedom 21. Can some tell me what type of
spacer or sleeve I’m to use between the free standing CF mast and the
mast tube? I seem to be missing that item!

Phil,
The spacer you need is a rubber thing which keeps the mast from
banging against the hole. I can take a digital picture if you like and
put a ruler next to it. I don’t have a clue where to tell you to go
buy one.

Phil,
Although I have not used it yet, I have seen many postings which said
they used Spartite to form a collar.
Go to their web site and read FAQ. If you grease the hull side of
the hole the mast will not stick to the boat if you need to pull it
out.
You can also ask a boat yard for a estimate to do it for you. Pick
one that has done it before.
Maybe a F-21 owner has used Spartite and will post a reply.

Phil-- I have my mast steped at the partners with spartite. It is as
really good product and the hassle of forming the initial collar is
worth it as it will last through many steppings and unsteppings. You
just need to be sure to get it right the first time. This would be
worth getting crane help at a yard when you make the pour. Even
without a caulked seal, the spartite collar keeps most of the water
out of the bilge. You can really seal things up with a flexable
caulk. This is much less hassle than the traditional wedges and a
mast boot. Hope this helps.
