I own a 1982 33 Cat-Ketch with a Yanmar 3GM. Only getting 2400 RPM at WOT. What pitch is recommended for a 16-inch three blade Max Prop?
Thanks in advance.

Gregg - same motor I think but different boat - my 1999 f35 Pedrick with 3gm30f shows this: running normal at 2600 rpm. Smooth….
RATIO 2.42-1
PROP DIAMETER 17"
PROP ANODES 63 mm
suggested settings 16˚
letter codes C K
Go on the web to https://pyiinc.com/ and you can get info there. Videos or call them. Jerome is super helpful. They make, repair, and service max props. Just had mine redone for my 1986 Freedom 36.

Hey Greg, what all are u doing to the 33? I have one in galveston I’m going to bring to Florida in November. Once here i am looking forward to getting some work done in her. Do u have a fixed keel on yours?
Johnnie
Yes Johnnie fixed keel (deep version- the boat draws 6.5 feet).
I’ve hauled her at the yard down my street and having her soda blasted from toe rail to keel- her topsides were painted and it looks terrible. Last year I upgraded the house bank from 300AH AGM to 400 AH lithium. Adding 500 watts of solar after the blasting. How about you and your boat- centerboard?

Wow, i wish i had just that knowledge of how to do all that. I had to postpone my big plans for the boat bc we unexpectedly moved to Florida (aging in-laws). I thought, hey, it’s Florida, there will be plenty of places to keep it. Ha, WRONG. On top of that, Ian hit and took out even more marina space. Then Helene, then Milton. I’m in Venice. I finally found a place, without a year waiting list and didn’t require selling a kidney to pay for it. I’ll start on top, trying to stop some leaks, refurbish or replace some port lights and start enjoying the boat. Just waiting for hurricane season to be over. Are you documenting your work somewhere, like YouTube, a blog, etc. It would be cool to follow it just for educational purposes as well as interest.
Full keel on mine.
Good talking to you
