Monel pop rivets

Posted by Charlie L. (clivaday@…>)

Hello all! Does anyone have 12 or more monel pop rivets that I can buy,
to replace the rivets on my F25 gooseneck?? Yes, I did tear the
gooseneck off of the mast, with an involuntary jibe in 45++ winds.
Thanks. Charlie

I have some stainless pop rivets. I’d have to check the size, but I bought them to replace a few loose ones on my mast track (needed 6 and had to buy 100).

Although I don’t exactly recall the explanation, Mark Edwards or
Dave Wolfe cautioned me many years ago about using rivets other than
aluminum for the mast track. I think the concern was that if a ss
rivet loses grip it will create a larger hole forcing you to use a
larger rivet. Again I can’t rememeber the conversation but I do know
that Freedom Yachts recommended aluminum.

I have some of them, too. Bought both kinds, 100 per box.
