my F21

It was originally my Dad’s. He purchased it new in 1983 with a
trailer. It is a shallow keeled boat (shoal?) and I have sailed it
many, many times, but last time was probably 20(?) years ago. I was
quite adept at sailing the boat and enjoyed it immensely. My Dad
pulled it to Texarkana and I towed it the rest of the way to San
Antonio.

My Dad did not maintain the boat in pristine condition and the lines,
sails, trailer, etc. are all original. The lines will surely need
replacing and I hope the sails are still good. The hull and rudder
are badly discolored - that will need to be repainted. They are
beyond cleaning. The trailer is in excellent condition - some rust
and all new tires required.

If the lines don’t cost too much to replace along with the tires - I
should be able to put her in the water within two months. This is my
goal. Being in south Texas, I should be able to sail from Oct -
Apr. Way too hot to be on the water in the summer months!

Other than parking it in my driveway, I have yet to start to work on
the boat. I am nervous, excited, and shy about putting the time and
money that will be required. I want to be able to sail her, but I
don’t want to have to mortgage my home to do it.

Pictures will be coming shortly.
