Last season I replaced the leaking Syntron seal with new then finding it to still leak.
Thanks to Paul Dennis he informed me that the Syntron scores the shaft after a period of time.
I replaced the shaft, installed a tides seal and cutlass bearing all provided by Paul.
Happy to report all dry and working perfectly.
