My dearest fellow Freedom sailors,
What has become of this board? Where has our freedom gone? Do we
have to ‘organise’ and have lengthy pointless discussions about the
name of an Organisation before we can be taken seriously???
To me as a European, the attraction of the Freedom community and the
board as originally set up by Freedom Yachts has always been the LACK
of organisation (I persist in spelling organisation with an s) and
LACK of officials in blue blazers asking me for $$ to be able to fill
up there Benzes.
Anyway, I don’t mind if you Americans start a formal Freedom club, but
please, don’t bother me with the hassle that comes with it, and
please stop jibbering about the club’s name!
Please let’s get back to where we were and what we liked: a board
with useful technical info and now and then a wisecrack. And no
secretary’s notes (I get a rash from the word Club Secretary).

If I offended some of you with what I wrote, please accept my
appologies. I am sincere in my fear that ‘our’ good old Freedom
board and it’s unstructured freedom goes down the drain.
