Greetings,
Having had the occasion to sail in the Fagawi race this past
Memorial Day, I wrote an article for Points East Magazine. For those
of you in New England, Points East is a free publication available at
a number of marine related outlets throughout the region. The
article is titled: “Fagawi from the back of the pack”.

Greetings,
I normally don’t promote magazines, but check out the Oct/Nov. issue
of Points East Magazine, which is a free publication available at a
number of marine related locations throughout New England. On page
49 of the Racing Pages, you’ll find an article on our annual sailboat
race called the Dixie Bull Regatta. Check out www.pointseast.com to
find out where you can pick up a copy.
The race is held on the weekend before Labor Day every year. If any
of you are within commuting distance of Pemaquid Harbor, I’d love to
have you enter. I have not raced against another Freedom.
Best,
TW

Hi Tom,
love the magazine, especially since Bright Star was in a picture last
year
We may take you up on the invitation next year, depending on which
direction we head for our cruise.

Hi Lance,
We’d love to have you in the race, but you’d be giving me
quite a bit of time. Your rating, it appears is 99 vs. my
171. Would be an interesting event. Should you make it to Pemaquid,
we’ll make sure to have a lobster dinner for you.

I’ve been wondering about that 99 rating for the 45. I might see that
if the wind is above 12, but below that I’m pretty sure everyone is
going to smoke us. Plus we have a 3 bladed prop which is worth I
think around +3… then there’s the library and the liquor locker,
the two folding bikes, the spare liquor locker, the dvd player and
the emergency backup liquor locker. That’s gotta be worth at least an
extra minute per mile.
But we could still probably see our way clear to a lobster dinner

I remember the first liquor locker. I don’t remember your mentioning
the other 2 last August. I presume the emergency backup liquor
locker is in the cockpit, where mine is located…
