Re: 30 Freedom Value

Does anyone know the approx value of a 1987 30 freedom with no ac power hook up ? Otherwise in good condition. Would 30 amp be enough to add if I plan to put in carry on air, , heater. Younger crew is a far more economical solution however. Idon’t remember the exact price for the Bat Cars, but I think roughly$1500/mast.Tom __________________________________________________Do You Yahoo!?Tired of spam? Yahoo! If you mean what shoreside AC power
capacity to add keep in mind the maximum output of normal shorepower outlets
and cable. Generally its 30 amps or one can go to two cords or the larger 50
amp outlets if available at the dock and you have a compatible cord.
Most sailboats just use 30 amp and that’s
more then enough for AC and heat on 30 footers.

interfere with the use of a longer winch handle.

Hello:

I purchased a 1988 30 about one year ago, finest boat on the water, a
grand summer was had by all. I paid 44K. My guess is that an 87 would
run in to 40’s area.

My AC cost me $70 from Home Depot and sits
in the cockpit with a cover over the hatch and makes sleeping at night
comfortable! Based on my trip up from Fla it was the best $70 I ever spent! And
it run on 15 or 30 amps……………{:>)

I hate acronyms! AC “alternating
current” not “air conditioning” dummy! So everyone read
my last email thinking that we were talking about air conditioning……….
