Hi DG -
Had one put in by Brewer Dauntless in Essex, CT. Excellent job.
Side Power has worked very reliably. Got model 95 - plenty of power. Joy stick on the top of the engine instrument panel.
Motor mounted on the tunnel fits nicely under forward bunk. Tube was cut below water depth minimum specification - a good thing for proper operation without cavitation - and that left plenty of room for the motor under the bunk.
What a difference for my wife - she does all the docking now.
Good luck.

Anyone put or have a bow thruster on a F45?
We are in the process of installing one and are debating between the
Vetus and the Side-Power.
If anyone has any experience with this I would be appreciative for
your insights.
Best regards,
DG

I can highly recommend the Vetus thruster. I had one on the boat before my Hoty32. The boat in question was Fairly heavy disp. 39 ft.Brewer designed steel motorsailor (34,000 lbs). in that boat I had a separate 8D battery that served only the windlass, and the thruster. Trust me, whichever you choose, you’ll find it hard to go without one. By the way, I chose Vetus for the steel boat because of the plastic prop. Reasonable cost was definitely a consideration, which has nothing to do with steel!
Good luck…PWM
