The Fram is a 30u, and it was the primary filter on the engine (2GM20F) until 2 years ago. I added the Racor and since I already had a 30 in the Fram, thought that 2u would be good there. Obviously, I’ll change them all and see what happens. Do note that all the filters are 30 hours old and during the winter I took the inspection port off the fuel tank expecting to clean it and then didn’t because there didn’t appear to be anything to clean. And none of the filters I replaced seemed dirty either. I certainly hope it is the filters, because the fuel pump is almost $800.

Experience (mine) teaches that the primary filter should be 30u,and not 2u,which will clog in a very few hours

I have three fuel filters, the original Fram, with a 30 micron, a Racor with a 2 micron, and the Tanmar, also 2. I change them regularly but I’ll be darned if I can tell whether or not they’re actually clogged. They usually look pretty clean to me.
Not sure what engine you are running but many small diesels (esp Yanmars)are challanged by too many fuel filters. I would suggest using only the paper element that came OEM on your Yanmar and the Racor. Take out the Fram (doesn’t actually do anything for you anyway that’s the job of the 2mic Racor). Monitor vacuum on the fuel line with an accessory vacuum gauge you can get from Racor. When the vacuum gauge gets near the “red zone” replace filters.
