It sounds like it doesn’t attach to the boom.
My guess is that there is perhaps some velcro along either side of the sail foot that matches the bottom inside edge of each side panel of the stack pack.
(I assume you don’t have lazyjacks, whic are often integrated with the Stackpack and would be a factor in the design and engineering.)
My advise is that you should call the guys at the Doyle loft that made it. ( I found the folks at Doyle Chesapeake to be very helpful.)
I recently bought a Freedom 25 with a Doyle Stackpack. I have not yet stepped
the mast and a
cursory examination revealed no bolt rope or slugs beneath the stackpack. So how
do you
attach it to the boom?

FGLGFF, I also have an F 25 with a Doyle Stackpack and it has a boltrope at the foot of the sail. The canvass pack sides ( bag ) are sewn just above the foot’s boltrope . Check the Doyle website, they have an installation sheet for the Pack. Andre.fgljff <fgljff@…> wrote: I recently bought a Freedom 25 with a Doyle Stackpack. Andre.
No, the bolt rope of the sail is actually sewn to the inside of the bottom of
the stackpack.
On the bottom of the outside of the stackpack, it is devoid of any features with
which you
could attach it to the boom. Very strange.

The best gets better. See why everyone is raving about the All-new Yahoo! Mail.
Yes, very strange. something is wrong. Better call them.

The F-25 main is loose-footed, and is attached to the gooseneck, and
the outhaul fitting, only. If the Doyle stack-pack follows this
convention, then it too is only attached to the boat at the very
front and rear. Herm SV Impulse

Exactly. I just got off the phone with Doyle, and that’s just what they told
me. The stack
pack attaches only at the tack and clew. I must remember to make sure the
outhaul is
sufficiently taut before trying to raise the sail. Well, that mystery is solved.
Now onto
figuring out how to bleed the air from the fuel lines after changing the filter.
In fact, so far
I’ve only been able to find the large fuel filter. Still hunting for the
smaller, in-line one.
Meanwhile, I’ve sent away for a Yanmar operator’s manual. At first there was
confusion
because the broker I bought the boat from said the engine was a 1GMQ. I’m pretty
sure it’s
a 1GM, and the Q is just something that was in the broker’s head (possibly the
only thing
in there.)
