Hi - we have an F21, very recently bought, and need to get a new
outboard as the one we have is like waving a cake mixer at the
water! It also has to be turned round to get reverse, which is
irritating… What motor do you recommend as we have been told that
weight is a big issue? (The one we have at the moment is an Evinrude
4hp 2 stroke)

I had the same problem with a Suzuki 2 stroke but only with the
reversing as the engine did its job. I put a Honda 5 HP with reverse
on it and worked even better. Little heavy but had no problems.
With a 4 stroke is a good idea to put a little Marvel Mystery Oil in
the gas to keep the carburator clean. Be sure to get the long shaft
on whatever you buy.
