Rick,
The I-measurement is the vertical distance between mast base and
attachement point of the forestay. The J-measurement is the horizontal
distance between mast and attachment point of the forestay on the
semhead. These letters are always used by sailmakers. If you apply
Pytagoras theorema (a2+b2=c2) you can then calculate the length of
your forestay. (Or maybe that’s already in the table).
Good luck,
Michel

Hello all, anyone have a stove-top chopping block or some
measurements
of the bottom inside and top levels for a F30? I need to get one
made
if none are available.
Also, one of the files on this site is the rig sizes. But there’s no
key to tell me what each column is. I’m looking specifically for the
length of the forestay on the F30. I’m a new owner so if there is
another way to pull this info out of the archives, please let me
know.
Thanks…

The length of the forestay is the Square Root of c squared. ( C2 )“michel.capel” <michel.capel@…> wrote: Rick,The I-measurement is the vertical distance between mast base and attachement point of the forestay.
