I hope you folks can help me understand this process.
I have recently purchase this freedom 32 and I was not aboard when
the main sail was removed for the winter.
I bent on the main sail today and all went well .
I noticed 2 lines that were tied off at the outhaul end of the boom
that run through the boom to the goosneck.
1 line on the port side is shorter than the right one.
2 Blocks are also in a zip lock that seem to hook into one or the
other reefing eys at the mast .
I cannot figure out how the reefing system should work.
Do you take the shorter line and attach to the lowest reef clew with
a bowline ?
Do you take the longer line and attach to the next highest reef clew
with a bowline ?
If you then pass the other ends of the lines thru respective blocks
where do you go from there ?
These are 2 seperate lines . How do you then run them aft to the
cockpit to control the reefing ?
Does anyone have a line drawing showing this system . It appears to
have been original factory install
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks folks
Captain Michael
