Due to all the wonderful advice from all of you, and having had 2
motor homes, doing art sales out of… to galleries and museums, I am
very familiar with working, living and moving in it…thus there will
be art in this condo,and I would not go out on a sail, with out preparing.
Art does so much for an interior, and can give appearance of making
the interior appear wider by using the width of the framed art,and w
the scatter rug. The art I decided can be displayed by propping on the
starboard shelf. I definatly am going to put one on the bulkhead I
keep hitting with my head in the aft berth as I enter it.(anyone else
hitting their heads here)? A taped piece of paper hanging there is
helping so far.
Today is the second day on the boat.I’m using my big vac at this point
in the nooks and crannies …empty now so good chance to do all that.
I decided the pot rack is out. I have seen the horror of the wet
balsa…$$(not on my boat) Eating at sail will be cold, and canned and
boxed…If sun is out can put in baggie on deck to heat. Live aboard
Magazine says you can use large black bag on deck with soap and water
and the movement of the boat does your wash… For cooking at my shore
condo, I will use elec fry pan, and micro. I will store the range so
new owner can have it all.
The captain who delivered the boat is a full time live aboard. He
grills outside while sailing all the time…weather allowing…but easy
to do he says.
My next purchase, is an rv roof air conditioner…Friend on a 50 foot
Irwin installed one…They live aboard and sail with 2 children…I am
also looking at floor models, that heat and cool…some are vented out
others drip water…thus the roof rv seems good, and knowing how well
they work…still need advice.
Next topic… 2 indoor cats Monet and Matisse, declawed coming and
going with me sometimes om my condo visits, taking turns. 2 Good
spots for litter box, have been found.They walk on leash, and I have a
kitty walk…a net folding playpen type thing…see on internet…could
go on deck for a day. Any cat topic advice?
Names: Anyone name their boat FREEDOM? Considering…had thought of
all the songs with my name…undecided.
