Re: Transom Extension For Hoyt 32

I had a local yard build one on my 32 and later on my 36. The 32 was a much easier job then the 36 because of the size and shape. We just took some smooth surface hard board and strapped it to the underside extending out past the transom and layed up enough glass to hold the shape. Then he drilled a couple of locater holes and removed it and took it into the shop and completed the build. When done, we bolted and bonded it to the hull. We took the old ladder and bent it so that it could hinge in the middle of the step deck so that it would lay against the hull, when raised and over the transom when lowered. It was inlayed in the deck so as not to be a trip hazard.
