The two inch wide, half inch thick black, closed cell foam gasket on my F38 sail and propane locker lids is falling apart. I’ve looked at hardware and boating stores all over, and cannot find a replacement. Any suggestions.

Gaskets like that are used extensively in refrigeration and air-conditioning units. Try industrial supply houses that supply that trade or contractors in that field.
