Seeking surveyor in Texas (Galveston area)

Posted by mike_c_f35ck (mike_c_f35ck@…>)

Hi all,

Who knows a reliable yacht surveyor in the neighbourhood of
Galveston, TX, USA? One that is very keen on detecting structural
problems and osmosis and hairline cracks that may be covered with
paint?

Thanx

mike

You might check out Mike Firestone. He lives in Port Aransas.
361 749-7767. Don’t know if he’d be interested in going to
Galveston, but if not, I bet he could refer you to someone already in
that area. He used to work out of Clear Lake.
Mike is an excellent surveyor. He did one for me 3 years ago. Took
him 7 hours and he provided an extensive written report. Also,
unlike a lot of surveyors he did go up the mast.

I was pleased with a survey that Roy Newberry did for me about 5 years ago.
Company name was Newberry & Associiates, out of Seabrook TX. Phone number
281 - 470 - 7577. He was very thorough, despite the August heat in Clear Lake
TX.
