Tillotson owners; I opened up the inside of the “lid” for the sliding hatch cover today and found wet wood re-enforcement. Look at the included photos. Before I cut it open I thought this would be plywood laminated to both top and bottom sides of the “lid”. Before I go on a witch-hunt, I wanted to ask the forum what is a good product to put back in there. I am thinking plywood (3/8"?) but then the builder could have done that and chose to use something I have never seen before. Once sized and placed, I can re-do the fiberglass. Appreciate any advice.
