Hi all, my F36 sloop has most of the spinnaker items (spinnaker, gun-mount, spinnaker pole (yard), cam cleats for the pole rotation control reins) but the fairleads for the spinnaker clew lines (plus the the holes through the traveler support that line up with the fairleads) don’t lead to rope clutches or any means of cleating the clew lines. If your F36/F38 is set-up for spinnaker, could you post a picture of of the cockpit setup you’re using to adjust the clews when flying the spinnaker?
Thanks in Advance.
I made a video of flying a gun-mount spinnaker on my F30:
I believe you’re inquiring on the two lines in the far right of this image:
Mine is only the baby (F21) but the same rigging setup. I have pole adjustment and clew lines to clutches on both sides of the companionway. However, pretty much any cleat would do. When flying the spinnaker, the only time you need to adjust these lines is when pulling out the clews prior to hoisting the spinnaker. I rarely adjust them under load.

My F25 has four clutches on either side. You can see the manual at F25Manual - Google Docs
Clew lines, along with the jib/spinnaker halyard and 2nd reef line are on the left.
The right side has the two pole controls, the main halyard and the 1st reef line.
There are four blocks at the base of the gun-mount through which the pole controls and clew lines go down to the deck.
I hope this helps.
I do understand the basics of flying a spinnaker on a gunmount equipped Freedom. I’ve owned a Freedom 25 for over 15 years. And I did adjust the clew lines when transitioning from a deep downwind run (clews symmetrical) to a beam reach (luff tensioned and leech eased).
I’m asking for photos of F36/F38 cockpit set-up because of the unique deck molding and the angles for a lead to the nearest winch. The F36/F38 have an asymmetrical cabin top at the cockpit, with the entry hatch to port and all the rope clutches and both winches on the starboard side. My rope clutch row has indications of old filled holes and some rearrangement of the lines in the deck organizer by the mast. I don’t seem to have room to starboard to mount a double rope clutch in line with the rest of the clutches due to the molded in curve of the raised breakwater where they are mounted. Don’t know if I need to put the spinnaker clew line double rope clutch further aft on the lower level where the winches are mounted or if I need to remove and remount half the existing rope clutches.
