Any thoughts on or experience with putting an assymetric on the boat
vice using the gun-mount?
thanks

The gun mount and pole are suited for a symmetric spinnaker. There’s no
reason why you can’t use an asymmetric. You’ll want to attach it to the
bow pulpit and not use the pole.

Actually, the gun mount is even more suited for an asymmetric than a symmetric. Since you are now dealing with a luff, putting it out forward of the bow pulpit gives you an even better setting asymm.
